American Army Vet, educated in the UK who has experience coaching with Professional, University, and Collegiate teams here in the UK. Juan has worked for New York Red Bulls and London Broncos RL. Currently working as a Higher Education Lecturer for University Centre Blackburn College in Sports Science, Latin Heat Rugby League as a Head Coach (North American) and Global Rugby League Academy as the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach. He has also worked with the Asian-Pacific Rugby League Confederation in developing RL in non-traditional areas.
Juan has lived in the UK since 2004 after leaving the US military and in 2009 was introduced to RL while studying at Leeds Metropolitan University a Sports Coaching degree BSc (Hons). He has since completed a PGCE in Education at University of Huddersfield and is currently completing his MSc in Strength & Conditioning at University of Salford as well as his RFL Coaching award level 3. He now chairs the Federación Latinoamérica de Rugby League.
