British Paralympic Wheelchair Athlete

David Weir CBE is six-time Paralympic Champion and seven-time London Marathon winner. Christened ‘The Weirwolf’ by athletes and fans alike, London 2012 was a fantastic year, winning Gold Medals in the 800m, 1500m, 5000m and the Marathon. In 2014, David won Gold in the 1500m at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow and in 2017, David won his seventh London Marathon. David currently holds the British record at all track distances up to 5,000m, as well as on the road at 10km, half marathon and marathon. His passion for sports led David to set up the ‘Weir Archer Academy’ with his coach Jenny Archer MBE. The Academy is based at Kingston Park and provides athlete and coaching support and expertise across all levels and abilities.
